Mastercard Survey Finds 51% of Latin American Consumers Experienced in Crypto

“More and more Latin Americans are turning to technology for financial transactions, and this trend is expected to continue to increase, with 95% planning to use digital payment methods in the next year, and 29% agreeing that. Used less cash in the past year,” said Walter Pimenta, Executive Vice President of Product and Engineering, Mastercard Latin America & Caribbean.

In Latin America, 54% of consumers surveyed Still optimistic about the effectiveness of digital assets in investing. And two thirds want more flexibility in using cryptocurrencies and traditional payment methods interchangeably.

The majority of consumers in the region, 82% of those surveyed said They wanted to have crypto-currency-related functionality that could be used directly from their current financial institution.
