Masked people attacked 60-year-olds – Bavaria

At least five masked people attacked and robbed a 60-year-old in Rosenheim. They stopped in a dark car next to the man on Thursday evening, the police said on Friday. Then they got out, ran to him and struck, as it was said. When the man was on the ground, they snatched his wallet from him and fled. The man received medical treatment with minor injuries, and the perpetrators stole a low three-digit amount in cash.

Shortly before, there had been a similar case in Rosenheim: on Wednesday evening, four men, two of whom had also got out of a dark car, approached two 18-year-olds. They first wanted to sell them drugs, then asked for cash, the police said. Because the young men said no, a perpetrator threatened to “stab them” and then pursued them, but then let them go. A possible connection between the two cases is being examined, said a spokesman. The police are now hoping for witnesses to come forward. In the case of Thursday, the alleged perpetrators were masked and wore gloves; in the case of Wednesday, they sometimes wore mouth and nose covers, the spokesman said.
