In May 2020, Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) wrote an SMS that today, a year and a half later, still shows great foresight. The message went to Monika Hohlmeier, Member of the European Union for the CSU and daughter of Franz Josef Strauss. Hohlmeier had previously complained to Spahn that the Ministry of Health still owed the Swiss company Emix 168.6 million euros for the delivery of corona protective clothing.
