With far too much alcohol in the blood, a driver caused an accident in Martinsried on Thursday night. According to the police, the 66-year-old from Gräfelfinger was driving on Fraunhofer Strasse around 11 p.m. when she got into the oncoming lane in a right-hand curve and her car touched an oncoming car. No one was injured, and the police estimate the damage to property at around 18,000 euros. After a breath alcohol test carried out on the spot revealed that the woman who caused the accident was significantly drunk, the vehicle keys and driver’s license were seized and criminal charges were filed against her. The woman now has to reckon with a severe fine and a longer driving ban or driver’s license withdrawal.
