Martinsried – Christmas market for people in need – district of Munich

The time for improvisation is over: After a two-year Corona break, there will be a popular Christmas market on the church square in Martinsried again this year. The association has now announced that a “completely normal market” is to be held on the third weekend in Advent, December 10th and 11th. Proceeds from the market go exclusively to people in need.

Press spokeswoman Karina Kalkühler reports that all volunteers have remained loyal to the market and ensured that a rich repertoire can be offered again, including a colorful music programme. The Martinsrieder Christkindlmarkt collects around 60,000 euros every year through the sale of small gifts. One hundred percent of the money goes to needy people in the Würmtal. The association is also supported by the SZ-Hilfswerk Advent calendar for good works supports. There is a close cooperation with Würmtal aid organizations, such as the workers’ welfare or the Würmtalinsel in Planegg.

The opening hours of the market on the church square are on Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.
