3:15 p.m. : In the middle of the Cannes Film Festival, the activists ofExtinction Rebellion intended to disrupt private aviation, “symbol of climate injustice and the indecency of the ultra-rich”. For them, the announcements for the preservation of the environment of the Festival “are a big joke in the face of the indecent pollution of private jets: planes are responsible for 80% of the Festival’s greenhouse gas emissions”.
3:14 p.m. : Extinction Rebellion activists entered the tarmac at Cannes-Mandelieu airport. With remote-controlled cars, they tried to disrupt the traffic of private jets destined for Cannes Festival customers. According France 3 Pacathe security services intervened and air traffic was not disrupted.

2:00 p.m. : Adapted from the novel 911 by Shannon Burke, inspired by her experience as a New York paramedic, Black Flies offers a first selection in competition to the French director Jean-Baptiste Sauvaire, but under the American nationality. 2:17 p.m. : Half-man half-animal creatures that terrorize the population, an octopus that sows terror in supermarkets, a feathered biped that violently escapes from an ambulance… Mix it all up and you’ll have an idea of the new film by Thomas Cailley the animal kingdom, presented at the opening of the festival’s Un certain regard selection. 12:26 p.m. : The Cannes course of the Feedback was hectic. First discarded at the last moment from the official selection, the film was reinstated a few days later. Heavy suspicions weigh on the shooting: anonymous accusations relating to working conditions and inappropriate gestures of two members of the team on young actresses have been reported by several media. 12:19 p.m. : The return, by Catherine Corsini, is one of the 21 films in the running for the Palme d’Or. Khedidja (Aissatou Sagna Diallo) and her daughters Jessica (Suzy Bemba) and Farah (Esther Gohourou) return to Corsica, the island they left in disaster fifteen years ago.
