Marseille defender Mbemba taken to task by Korean fans after Son injury

The stupidity of social networks falls on Chancel Mbemba. The OM defender was taken to task by South Korean fans on social networks, after the injury on Tuesday of the star of the Asian selection, Son Heung-min, whose participation in the World Cup which begins in two weeks and half is compromised.

The South Korea captain and striker (30) will undergo surgery for a fracture around his left eye which occurred on Tuesday after a clash with the OM defender in Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Marseille at the Vélodrome during the last group match of the Champions League.

“You have to apologize”

For Son, the race against time has already begun until November 24, the date of the South Koreans’ first match against Uruguay in Qatar, while his team has not announced the duration of his absence.

Thousands of messages were sent to the Marseille player’s Instagram account by South Korea supporters after the match. “You need to apologize to Son. His dream of playing in the World Cup is over,” one wrote.

Conversely, other Internet users have expressed their support for Mbemba in the light of the deluge of hostile messages sent to the Marseille defender. “I’m one of those South Koreans angry after Son’s injury, but I’m one of those who thinks that wasn’t his intention. In 106 caps, Son scored 35 goals and notably won the Asian Games in 2018.
