CSU boss Markus Söder wants to live healthier. He wanted to “stay fit,” said the CSU leader on Wednesday in Munich when asked whether he had a good resolution for the new year. Also because of his age of 57 – Söder’s birthday was on January 5th – he resolved to “live healthily, live healthier.”
Although he doesn’t smoke or drink alcohol, eating is “really a big weakness.” Sweets are “not really a problem,” but he can hardly resist bratwursts or hearty specialties like Franconian Schäufele (pork shoulder with bone and rind). But in the future he wants to eat a healthy salad more often and become “even more relaxed”.
