In an interview with Impact Theory’s Tom Bilyeu published on Facebook on Monday, Zuckerberg saidThe Instagram Digital Collectibles test is the first step towards allowing creators and collectors to display NFT on other apps under Meta control: WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Facebook.
According to the CEO, Meta is planning to “Bring similar functionality to Facebook soon” and working on “Augmented Reality NFT” for Instagram as well.
