The figures on immigration, used in Marine Le Pen’s campaign and a central element of her argument, are also the ones that raise questions for the CNCCEP. Indeed, the commission pinpoints two figures supposed to demonstrate the failure of the Macron five-year term in terms of security and immigration. We can read: “+ 31% of intentional attacks since 2017” and “1.5 million additional immigrants who have entered France legally since 2017”.
The source, according to the RN? The Ministry of the Interior itself. Except that Place Beauvau, according to information from France Inter, does not recognize them. “These are not statistics, but a grouping of figures that could be described as very hazardous”, assures a connoisseur (who wishes to remain anonymous) of the file. “These are elements that we are unable to corroborate”, we add to the CNCCEP.

Marine Le Pen also reacted to this decision on Wednesday morning. Traveling to an SME in Gennevilliers, in the Hauts-de-Seine, she recalled that the figures which are in her profession of faith “are sourced with figures from the Ministry of the Interior” with “the link of the ministry”. “I don’t mind him challenging his own figures, but be careful of this type of maneuver, be careful to respect democracy,” launched the RN candidate.
