Marie-Luise Marjan apparently sees the center of her life in Hamburg in the future. The actress is therefore planning a big move.

Marie-Luise Marjan (81) is facing a big change in May. The actress, known from “Lindenstraße”, wants to give up her rented apartment in Cologne, where she has lived for 31 years, and now move entirely to her second home in Hamburg. The “Bild” newspaper explains it: “I don’t want two apartments anymore.”

The commute has become too much for her. “I drive the car back and forth all the time. It depends on where I’m working. Now I have to think about my age. I’m not getting any younger,” says Marjan. Her landlord in Cologne registered personal use about a year ago, just shortly after the death of her partner Bodo Bressler in March 2021. She saw that as a sign.

“A Liberating Feeling”

For weeks she has been packing her boxes and organizing her life. “A liberating feeling,” says Marjan. Although she would miss her flower garden in Cologne. “But I’m not complaining. I’m reorganizing myself,” says the actress.

Putting your feet up completely is obviously out of the question for the 81-year-old. She is still active as a fairy tale ambassador for the Brothers Grimm Festival in Hanau, “gives readings and has just been accepted into the Order of Saint Lazarus. An honour,” she sums up her current life situation.
