Manchester United is embarrassed – Solskjaer threatens the end – sport

Coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has to fear for his job more than ever after a violent bankruptcy at the English soccer record champions Manchester United. The team around the Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo embarrassed themselves on Saturday when they were clearly outnumbered with 1: 4 (0: 2) at Watford FC. For the Red Devils it was the fifth loss from the last seven Premier League games.

Joshua King (28th minute), Ismaila Sarr (44th), João Pedro (90th + 2) and Emmanuel Dennis (90th + 6) scored for Watford after Sarr failed twice from the penalty spot. United keeper De Gea parried Sarr’s first weak penalty before Kiko Femenia hit in the margin. The goal didn’t count because Femenia walked into the box too early. So the penalty had to be repeated, but De Gea saved Sarr’s second attempt too.

Substitute Donny van de Beek, who only has three short appearances in the Premier League this season, scored the interim goal in the 50th minute. Shortly afterwards, Man United received the next setback when defender Harry Maguire saw the yellow-red card after a foul. A goal from Ronaldo (78th) did not count because of an offside position.

Chelsea are also cheering thanks to Rüdiger

For the new Watford coach Claudio Ranieri it was the first home win with the club. Man United slipped after the renewed bankruptcy and only four points from the last seven league games (one win, one draw) to seventh place in the table. The gap to front runner FC Chelsea is already twelve points. Thanks to Antonio Rüdiger, the club of the German coach Thomas Tuchel achieved the next victory in the Premier League.

The German national player initiated the well-deserved 3-0 (2-0) away win at Leicester City on Saturday, through which the Londoners initially expanded their table lead to six points. Defender Rüdiger, whose contract at Stamford Bridge ends next summer and who is being courted by several clubs, headed for the lead after 14 minutes – his second goal of the season. Former Leicester professional N’Golo Kanté, who won the 2016 championship with the Foxes, made it 2-0 for Chelsea (28th). After the break, the substitute ex-Dortmund met Christian Pulisic (71.).
