Cristiano Ronaldo opens up about the end of his career and admits it’s getting closer – but he still wants to win many titles before then.

Manchester United’s Cristiano Ronaldo has spoken to DAZN on planning the rest of his active career. He wants to continue playing into his 40s if possible.

“I know I don’t have many more years to play, four or five more. We’ll see and I want to win more titles,” said the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, adding: “You have to be smart and knowing that you are not the same at 18, 20 or 25 as you were at 35. That is the maturity, the experience, the intelligence to understand that you may lose some things to gain others and have a balance, to play at the highest level.”

Ronaldo dodges future question: ‘It doesn’t matter at all’

However, the 37-year-old Ronaldo did not want to make any clear statements about his future after there were rumors of farewell: “I don’t have to tell you that I’m very good because the numbers are there. The facts are facts, the rest is complete never mind. It doesn’t matter at all.”

CR7 himself is “very happy” with his stats and form, summing up his current condition as follows: “I’m still scoring goals, helping people, teams, both at national team and at Manchester United and that’s why I want to continue like this. “

So far this season, the superstar has recorded 15 goals and three assists in 30 games for United. Most recently, the team around CR7 played 1-1 in the Champions League round of 16 first leg against Atletico Madrid and thus left the door open for progress.
