UPDATE April 26, 11:05 p.m.: Man City dismantle Arsenal and set course for title
Manchester City make a big exclamation mark in Premier League top game against Arsenal and deservedly win 4-1 at Etihad! The Skyblues were superior for the entire duration of the game and could have won the game against the amazingly awesome Gunners much more. While the outstanding Kevin de Bruyne garnished a brace with an assist for Stones, Erling Haaland was in the worm today. Only in injury time did the Norwegian score the final point after four major chances were missed. Today there was a real class difference between these two teams and City now has everything in their own hands. Arsenal remain leaders with a two-point lead, but the Guardiola squad still have two catch-up games in their luggage. The dream of the treble lives in Manchester. The Citizens are back in action on Sunday and then make a guest appearance at FC Fulham. Arsenal will face Chelsea in their next top game next Tuesday. Bye from Manchester and see you next time!
UPDATE, April 26, 8pm: Manchester dominate the Gunners – 2-0 at halftime!
Manchester City lead 2-0 at half-time in Premier League game against Arsenal! You only have to say it was 2-0, because the home side were superior in all respects in the first half and could have scored significantly more goals against the defensively overwhelmed Gunners.
After De Bruyne’s early opening goal, the Skyblues played big and created one big chance after another. Surprisingly, Erling Haaland left out three of them.
Kevin De Bruyne also failed from a promising position. Just before the break, Stones headed in a free kick for the well-deserved 2-0. At first, offside was called, but the VAR correctly awarded the goal afterwards.
A little later, however, he was not there when there should have been a red against Rúben Dias. Thus, outstanding Citizens against Gunners without a chance are eleven in the second round. See you soon!

The race for the English championship is coming to a head. After the last three draws in a row, Arsenal FC has almost lost its lead over Manchester City, because the Citizens are only five points behind the Gunners despite two games less.
Now there is a direct duel between the two top teams, with City not only being in top form since they entered the Champions League semi-finals. Pep Guardiola’s team last lost a competitive game on February 5.
While Manchester are only missing the suspended Benjamin Mendy, the Gunners are without William Saliba, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu. Granit Xhaka is likely to be available for Arsenal again after illness.
