The plastics group Covestro loses its chief financial officer to Airbus. Covestro announced on Wednesday evening that Thomas Toepfer would leave the company early on August 31 and take up the same position at aircraft manufacturer Airbus. There he will inherit from the outgoing Dominik Asam. Toepfer’s contract, which had changed from Kion to the Dax group in 2018, actually ran until the end of March 2026. The search for a successor was said to be ongoing. Airbus CFO Asam initiated his move to SAP last summer and will leave the aircraft manufacturer at the beginning of March.
