The investigation carried out after the attack on a 39-year-old man on Friday morning in Villeurbanne has established that the victim was in fact at the origin of the altercation. That day, the 30-year-old was rushed to hospital after being stabbed in the side.
Investigations revealed that he had tried to strangle, a few minutes before, another man in his fifties who was in an advanced state of intoxication. The latter would then have defended himself with the bladed weapon, indicates Progress.
No charge was finally brought against him, which could be different for the 39-year-old man, placed in police custody upon his release from the hospital.
