A man tried to ring the doorbell of a candy factory in Donauwörth in Swabia, triggering a fire brigade operation. The 79-year-old stood at the factory outlet on Monday, the police said on Tuesday. In order not to have to wait any longer, he wanted to ring the bell. But instead he used the fire alarm. According to the police, 35 firefighters responded. However, they did not discover a fire on site and turned off the fire alarm. The man was not reported because of his age for the momentous mix-up, said a police spokesman.
