This photo of an optical illusion is causing a lot of discussion on Twitter.
What do you see? A dog or a man?
Twitter user Just A Guy posted the picture in early February, asking, “I definitely saw a man running into the woods. Until I looked again. What do you see?”
The photo has been retweeted more than 13,000 times and liked more than 100,000 times.
Many users initially recognize a man, as the Twitter user teases this illusion.
This psychological phenomenon is called priming.
Some users notice other strange things about the picture:
“I looked into the forest and saw this scary thing. anyone else?
“I looked into the forest and saw this scary thing. Anyone else?”
“more dogs?”
“More dogs?”
“Cool natural illusion. I only saw the man until I looked closely at his backpack, hem the dogs face was clear.”
“Cool natural illusion. I only saw the man until I took a good look at his backpack. Then the dog’s face was obvious.”
Most users are sure: It’s a dog.
And one user sums it up well:
“Can’t be a man or else he has a serious problem with his left knee bending the wrong way. lol”
“It can’t be a man or he would have a serious problem with his left knee bending the wrong way.”
