Man is said to have caused acquaintances to jump to death – Bavaria

The investigators in Lower Franconia are dealing with a missing person case: a 34-year-old is said to have caused an acquaintance to jump off a railway bridge into the Main at night and thus probably to his death. Police and prosecutors said the search for the 30-year-old victim had been unsuccessful for days. The 34-year-old is therefore being investigated on suspicion of murder. He was arrested in Rhineland-Palatinate and is now in custody. What happened exactly a week ago in Wörth am Main (Miltenberg district) is still the subject of the investigation, said chief public prosecutor Monika Schramm. The Main in Lower Franconia is on average 100 meters wide and more than 2.50 meters deep. Investigators almost rule out the possibility that the man will be found alive. One assumes a homicide. The 30-year-old has been searched for with helicopters, among other things, since the weekend. Divers had also unsuccessfully searched the bottom of the Main for the missing person.
