A man fled during his transfer from the courthouse to the prison, in Perpignan. Handcuffed, he took advantage of a slowdown in traffic in the Pyrénées-Orientales prefecture to get out of the police car and distort the companies of the police, in the city center.
Despite a large police force to try to find him, he was still wanted on Thursday evening, confirms the Perpignan prosecution to 20 minutes.
Sentenced to Bordeaux
Arrested in Perpignan, he was to serve 23 months in prison corresponding to the sentences pronounced, mainly by the court of Bordeaux and other jurisdictions in the south-west. He was reportedly convicted of sexual assault.
