Man caught stealing goods worth 900 euros in a supermarket – Bavaria

Brazen attempted theft in a supermarket in Untermeitingen (Augsburg district): A 40-year-old man tried to steal goods worth around 900 euros during normal opening hours.

He stayed in the fruit and vegetable area for about an hour on Friday evening just before the store closed, according to the police on Saturday. As new customers entered the store, he took the opportunity and walked out through the open barrier. Employees were able to stop him at the exit with his fully loaded shopping cart with a goods value of just over 900 euros.
