Man catches escaped calf on A7 with “lasso” – Bavaria

A man caught his escaped calf on Autobahn 7 near Illertissen (Neu-Ulm district) from a moving car with a rope sling. No one was injured, police said on Friday. The calf was transported away unharmed. The highway was completely closed for a short time during the operation on Friday.

According to the owner, the Galloway calf had climbed three fences and got onto the A7 via the Illertissen junction in the morning. The police found the animal in a bush. When the calf ran further south on the road, the 63-year-old owner was able to catch it from a moving road maintenance vehicle. He tied the cattle to the central barrier – a cattle truck then brought the animal off the road.
