Mamadou Sakho and Der Zakarian fought after training

Olympique Lyonnais does not have a monopoly on the crisis, and Montpellier understands this well. Tuesday evening, the daily The Team reported an altercation between Mamadou Sakho and his trainer, Michel Der Zakarian, after the day’s training.

It all starts from a decision by the MHSC coach, author of an arbitration decision not to Sakho’s taste during an opposition at the end of the session. Visibly annoyed, the former Paris Saint-Germain player headed prematurely towards the locker room. When he was joined there by Der Zakarian after the end of the training, the latter allegedly informed him that the training sessions were “not à la carte” in front of other people who were able to witness the scene.

Sakho then responds by highlighting his usually impeccable behavior, to which the coach responds with “a rather derogatory remark”, before everything goes into a tailspin: Mamad’ grabs Der Zak by the collar then makes him fall, before the two men were quickly separated by players and staff members. The Montpellier coach left the room furious, banging on the walls and doors.

The MHSC intends to take up the matter and Mamadou Sakho, whose contract runs until 2024, is at great risk (dismissal for serious misconduct?) if the facts were to be confirmed.
