Another attack: Ballermann bouncers brutally beat up German tourists

Anyone who works as a bouncer in relevant shops on Mallorca needs a thick skin. But that seems to have been lost by some of the security staff on “Ballermann”. A video is now causing a stir. In it, several bouncers brutally beat up tourists.
There are scenes that do anything but make you want to go on vacation: Once again, “Ballermann” is open Mallorca bouncers brutally attacked partying guests. The “Mallorca Zeitung” was the first medium to publish a clip showing how the security guards of a popular pub on “Schinkenstraße” beat up several Germans. While one of the guests is already on the floor, the security guards kick him. A second man, who apparently wants to mediate, is suddenly punched in the face by one of the bouncers. The security staff then chased the Germans through the streets of Arenal with telescopic batons, apparently to their hotel. The incident is said to have happened on June 15.

As the “MZ” further reports, the bouncers are said to have marched up to the reception of the hotel and, according to a witness, have tried to penetrate into the hotel rooms of the victims. Only when the local police intervened did they let the tourists go.
The starting point for the dispute is said to have been that two of the 18-strong tourist group from Germany lit cigarettes in the beer garden for which the bouncers worked. They did not comply with a request not to do this, so they were thrown out of the store by the employees. On the street, the situation then became confusing.
According to witnesses, the bouncers stood on the tourists’ feet and pushed them at the same time. The remaining 16 members of the football club did not notice the argument and wanted to leave the store independently. The bouncers apparently took it as the men wanting to help their friends.
Shortly after, one of the smokers lies on the floor while at least one bouncer kicks him. The man has to go to the hospital after being kicked – diagnosis: rupture of the eardrum. While he was still on the ground, security staff whipped out their batons and chased the rest of the club down Carrer des Canyes.
Attacks by Ballermann bouncers have increased recently
Since the season on Mallorca has really got going, there have been repeated reports of sometimes brutal attacks by bouncers on tourists. Just two days after the football club’s smokers were beaten up, police arrested a bouncer at an equally popular beer garden after pushing a tourist to the ground. The German suffered a laceration.
An incident at the end of May was even more devastating: a German vacationer had probably sat on a flower pot outside of a party location. When a security guard asked him to get up, the two allegedly got into an argument. The bouncer is also said to have pushed the tourist, he hit his head, suffered a fractured skull and was in mortal danger for a long time.

On June 23, a bouncer at a nightclub near Playa de Palma was arrested. He is said to have hit a guest in the head with a golf club. This is reported by the “Bild” with reference to the “Mallorca Magazin.”
