Hollywood actor Sidney Poitier is dead. The first black actor to win an Oscar for Best Actor died at the age of 94. This was announced by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Bahamas. The best-known films in Poitiers were “Escape in Chains”, “Lilies in the Field” and “In the Heat of the Night”.
