Venice Film Festival: Mads Mikkelsen proudly shows his son Carl
Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen (57) visits Venice to present his latest film “The Promised Land”. However, he did not appear alone, but surprisingly brought his son with him. The handsome duo was the ultimate surprise.
We haven’t seen Carl Jacobsen Mikkelsen (26) in public for many years, now he’s grown up and looks a lot like his famous father. He is not an actor but a soldier in his native Denmark. He still seemed a bit reserved on the red carpet, but dad didn’t leave his side.
In the gallery above we show you father and son at the Venice Film Festival.
Mads Mikkelsen made his breakthrough in Hollywood
Mads Mikkelsen has been married to Danish casting director Hanne Jacobsen since 2000, and they have two children together: Carl and his older sister Viola (31). The family spent a lot of time in Canada while Mads Mikkelsen was filming the TV series Hannibal there. Today they are at home all over the world, but Denmark remains their home.
The Dane with the striking facial features has been one of the most sought-after actors for decades – he is usually used as a villain. His big break in Hollywood came in 2006 with the James Bond film Casino Royale. Since then he has appeared in films such as “Doctor Strange”, “Fantastic Beasts” or “Indiana Jones”.
