Fans upset – pop star is late again

Madonna fans in New York had to wait almost three hours for their idol, but the Queen of Pop was able to impress with the following concert.
Fans had previously been waiting for this concert for four months: the dates had been postponed due to the bacterial infection that forced Madonna into the intensive care unit in June.
The concert was originally supposed to start on Wednesday at 8:30 p.m., but Madonna didn’t show up until around 11 p.m. An angry fan writes on X, formerly Twitter according to “Page Six” for example: “I don’t give a fuck that you’re Madonna. If you’re three hours late, you’re just fucking rude.” A another tweet reads: “What Madonna is doing to her fans is horrible.”
A concert guest even reportsthat after two hours everyone around him would have left: “The unpleasant feeling is clear and in the air… Two hours now and no sign of her. We all love Madonna, but…” Another tweet complains about thisthat the start time stated on the tickets is incorrect. “Nobody cares about a DJ who plays house music for hours and wastes the fans’ time!”

However, it is not unusual for Madonna to keep her fans waiting: the singer also started her concert at the sold-out Lanxess Arena in Cologne in November one and a half hours late. In 2020, when Madonna was on her “Madame X” tour, she even made fans wait for three and a half hours in Paris. Also in 2016: She started three concerts on her “Rebel Heart” tour in the same week hours late.
Madonna and her team often cite technical difficulties as an explanation. A source told “Page Six” that Madonna had some problems during the sound check this time, but they “only” caused a delay of an hour.

However, Madonna was able to reconcile the fans with her show, as further tweets show. “Yes, she was late, but she put on a great show,” said one follower.
