After she had to cancel her tour due to health problems, Madonna has now announced new dates when she will be giving concerts again.

In any case, Madonna will also celebrate her world tour in America – albeit a little later than planned. The organizer Live Nation has just in time for the 65th birthday of the “Queen of Pop” officially confirmed the new dates for their North American tour.

The concert series planned for the USA, Canada and Mexico starts on December 13, 2023 at the Barclays Center in New York and ends on April 24, 2024 in Mexico City.

While alternative dates could be found for most shows, five originally planned concerts had to be canceled, according to the statement on the date announcement.

Madonna: “Love is the best medicine”

Madonna had actually announced the start of her “Celebration” tour in January for July 2023 in Vancouver. However, due to health problems, these appointments had to be canceled at short notice. On Instagram Madonna announced with anticipation a few days ago that she would soon start her tour.

Now the concerts in North America will not take place before but after the European tour. From October to December 2023, Madonna will be guest in various cities in Germany, France, Great Britain, Portugal, Spain, the Netherlands, Belgium and Italy.

At the end of June, the singer was taken to a New York hospital. There she was artificially ventilated in the intensive care unit. Her manager Guy Oseary said on Instagram that Madonna had “developed a serious bacterial infection that led to her being in intensive care for several days.” After that, the singer recovered with her family.

At the end of July, Madonna wrote on Instagram: “Love from family and friends is the best medicine.” A month ago she left the hospital and can reflect.

“When push came to shove, my kids were really there for me.” She also explained to her fans that she was happy to be alive and “thanked her angels for letting her stay to finish her work”.
