Traditional task
Exile Princess Madeleine is back in Sweden: sugar-sweet shots with the kids
Just in time for Christmas, Princess Madeleine of Sweden is back home with her family. The youngest princess now lives in Florida with her loved ones. A typical Christmas task for the Swedish royal family is waiting in the palace.
The joy is great: Madeleine is back! On Monday, the Princess Royal surprised fans and the media when she received the royal firs. Tanned and in a good mood, the youngest daughter of King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia shines into the camera. And she doesn’t come alone: husband Chris O’Neill and their three children, Princess Leonore, Prince Nicolas and Princess Adrienne, are also allowed to be there.
Every year a few days before Christmas Eve, students from the Swedish University of Agriculture give Christmas trees of various sizes to a member of the royal family. This year Madeleine and family are allowed to continue the tradition that has existed since the 1960s.
Son Nicolas almost steals the show from Madeleine from Sweden
The joy is obviously great. Even the otherwise serious-looking Chris O’Neil smiles for the cameras. Six-year-old Nicolas probably has a lot of fun. The young prince has brought a cuddly hedgehog and is throwing it around. This can be seen in a video that the Palast posts from the event.
Madeleine, Chris and the children have lived in Florida since 2018. Due to the pandemic and the strict exit rules, the princess has very rarely been home. In addition, in October 2019, the king announced a slimming of the royal family. This means that the descendants of his youngest children, Madeleine and Carl Philip, no longer belong to the royal family and can therefore live a freer life. The focus should be entirely on the king and crown princess couple. All the better that the public can now catch a glimpse of Madeleine and her loved ones.
Princess Madeleine is back in the family – for Christmas and Silvia’s birthday
Court spokeswoman Margareta Thorgren told “expressen.se” that Madeleine and her family were very happy to spend Christmas in Sweden. “The kids are happy to see grandma and grandpa and their cousins and the whole royal family.”
Shortly before Christmas, the focus is on the royal grandmother: On December 23rd, Queen Silvia celebrates her 78th birthday.
