During the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, Météo-France reduced the number of departments in orange “heat wave” vigilance from 58 to 14, located in the south-east of the country plus the two in Alsace. The institute has reintroduced orange “storm” vigilance for nine departments in the north-east of the territory: Jura, Doubs, Haute-Saône, Territoire de Belfort, Vosges, Haut-Rhin, Bas-Rhin Meurthe-et-Moselle and Moselle.
