Macron does not rule out a dissolution in the event of censorship in the Assembly, according to Dussopt

The statement comes as protests are planned across France this Thursday to demand wage hikes and give a warning shot on pensions. Labor Minister Olivier Dussopt said on LCI this morning that President Emmanuel Macron does not rule out a dissolution in the event of censorship in the National Assembly.

“If all the oppositions came together to adopt a motion of censure and bring down the government, it would leave it up to the French and the French would decide and say what new majority they want. And obviously (…) we would be campaigning for the president to be confirmed, ”said Olivier Dussopt, responsible for initiating new consultations on pensions from next week.
