The defenders of OL and the French women’s team Griedge Mbock and Perle Morroni joined forces on Saturday with the three players who put their international careers on hold, pinning the selection management. On Friday, captain Wendie Renard and forwards Kadidiatou Diani and Marie-Antoinette Katoto stepped back, calling for changes.
“I in turn wish to express myself in relation to the situation and join them against the management system of the current France team for having suffered from it personally”, wrote on Instagram Morroni, 25, who has 11 selections.
A “gap” between “the organization, the expectations” and the “means” given
A few hours later, Mbock (71 caps), a regular Les Bleues manager but seriously injured since September, denounced “the gap that remains between the current organization, the expectations we have and the means we are given to fight at the highest level.
“If I ever wear the France team jersey again, I hope it will be in better conditions and with adequate values at the top level,” adds Morroni on Instagram. The full-back has not been called up since April 2022 by coach Corinne Deacon. In recent days, she has not been called up for the February rally despite the absence due to injury of the two incumbents in her position, Sakina Karchaoui and Selma Bacha. Deacon preferred to summon Estelle Cascarino, central defender.

Support for Renard, Diani and Katoto have multiplied in recent hours, nationally and internationally on social networks.
The former Blue goalkeeper Sarah Bouhaddi, who had denounced the methods of Corinne Deacon in recent years by announcing a break with the selection from 2020, wished to “salute the courage” of her teammates.
Ada Hegerberg and Megan Rapinoe, the first two winners of the Women’s Golden Ball, also supported the three Habs. “With you captain. @FFF what are you doing? wrote the American on Instagram. The Norwegian, Renard’s partner in Lyon, wondered “for how long [les joueuses devraient] go through these moments [être] respected”.
