Luxurious Porsche collection: These 911s are to be sold with trucks

“I had this toy. This lumber truck, a racing truck from Porsche. And then I had the idea to make it reality.” This is how the Austrian architect Alexander Serda explains the idea for his extremely unusual collection, which he named “Toys for Boys”. Better because it would be more honest would be “Toys for very rich boys”. Because what Serda is currently offering through a British dealer will cost a lot of money.

The specialist magazine “Elferspot” presents the collection in a current article. The sale is probably a very unique opportunity, as Serda has had the opportunity to buy very rare vehicles directly from the factory on several occasions. He never moved it.

A Porsche 911 R is the highlight among highlights

For example, there is a Porsche 911 R for sale, of which only 991 were ever built and whose auction price is now in the millions. But that’s not all: you can also buy thoroughbred racing vehicles, for example the Porsche 991.2 GT3R, which is almost entirely made of carbon and was one of the most successful GT3 racing cars of its time.

The mileage of the vehicles is very interesting for buyers, but also quite sad. Because the vehicles whose sole purpose is to set the best possible times on race tracks and be a lot of fun on the road have never actually been driven. There are even examples whose odometer doesn’t even show 20.

There was also never an exhibition of the collection. Serda originally wanted to display the Porsches on the truck at the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed. But when that was planned, Porsche couldn’t deliver the yellow 991.2 GT3 RS quickly enough – and the architect canceled the exhibition.

When the “Toys for Boys” were finally complete, they were stored in a hall for five years, were serviced and cared for, but were no longer needed.

Only sold with truck and semi-trailer

Serda is now looking for a buyer through the dealer RPM Technik, but not for each vehicle individually, but for the entire vehicle. This not only includes six very rare Porsches, but also the Man TGX 18.640 4×2 LLS truck and trailer.

RPM is silent about the price – it just says “on request”. If you do your own calculation, it gets very expensive very quickly. Stern obtained an expert estimate for each vehicle – and if you assume the respective maximum, the price for the cars alone is around 3.1 million euros.

The price for the MAN truck is between 50,000 and 60,000 euros for comparable vehicles on used portals, the Rolfo Auriga-F trailer is probably even a few tens of thousands of euros more expensive, as a Bremen specialist company confirmed to stern.

So if you’re seriously interested in the “Toys for Boys” collection, you can expect to pay 3.2 million euros. “Elferspot” expects that this unique compilation of almost brand-new vehicles could end up not on the street but in a museum. The Porsche engineers who tuned the vehicles for maximum performance would probably be annoyed.
