As Netflix announced about the new episodes, Assane Diop (Omar Sy, 45) will no longer be able to stand it in his self-imposed exile. He heads to Paris to win his family back and start afresh. “But the ghosts of the past never really let him go and an unexpected return upsets all his plans,” it said.

The first two parts of “Lupin” were released in 2021. The story about the master thief and his vendetta became a huge international success. 70 million households are said to have seen the first five episodes in the first four weeks after release in early 2021. On Instagram, Omar Sy was happy about the great viewer interest at the time: “70 million, that’s crazy!!
