Lukas Boving came up with a very special production for the Easter Vigil: over the purple-draped chancel St. Boniface Church In Hamburg-Eimsbüttel he stretched a cloth with the inscription “Death”. While the choir rejoiced in the resurrection, the priest illuminated the neon lettering “Life” using a remote control. This isn’t particularly subtle, but the Catholic Church has never stopped at that.
