This Wednesday, Luis Enrique will reunite with his former team FC Barcelona to qualify Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-final of the Champions League. Two days before this shock, the Parisian coach spoke out and first assured that his team was not the favorite: “Barcelona have won five Champions Leagues, we haven’t won any. There’s no way they could be more excited than us. It’s impossible. And for us, the pressure is certainly not there”. However, the Spanish manager admits that it will be more complicated to play against his former team, with whom he achieved the famous comeback in 2016 (6-1).
“Playing Barcelona is difficult for me from an emotional point of view, but at the same time it is stimulating. I want to do a good job. I want my team to win the match. I want to prove to them and to myself that as a professional I am at the highest level. And that means beating Barça. To hurt them, we will have to give the best version of ourselves. Barcelona is a very high level club. It’s a good team. It will be very difficult, but I think we are at a very high level too. We are in a good period and I am convinced that we can eliminate them”he explained on the official PSG website.
