It was only a good two years ago that Carsten Spohr made a symbolically important decision. He instructed his people to wire June 2020 salaries a few days earlier than usual. It was not clear whether Lufthansa would not have to file for bankruptcy immediately afterwards. Because it was questionable whether the general meeting would approve the planned state rescue operation in the early phase of the corona pandemic. And so at least the one month would be covered.
