Lufthansa boss Carsten Spohr couldn’t resist a little dig when Boeing Commercial boss Stan Deal was standing next to him on the stage and a bunch of journalists in front of him. Lufthansa is the launch customer for Boeing 777X, “whenever it’s finished,” says Spohr. The tried and tested Boeing manager smiled a little tightly, but tried to make the best of the situation. “Soon” the new long-distance machine will come, he called to Spohr and the audience.
