Stéphanie Kerbarh, deputy for Seine-Maritime, announced on Tuesday that she had been excluded from LREM for having taken the head of a dissenting list for the regional elections in Normandy. She was informed by a letter from the party.

According to the document, it was Laurent Bonnaterre who had warned the executive office of LREM regarding “the dissident candidacy” of Stéphanie Kerbarh last May. The latter had received the support of the presidential majority as head of the list for the 2021 elections in Normandy.

LREM thus confirmed that the deputy for Seine-Maritime had been excluded Monday, June 7 during a vote of the Executive Bureau. The person concerned denounced “questionable methods”. “Laurent Bonnaterre is not part of the movement. And the movement excludes someone who is part of the movement, in addition to a deputy, without any exchange, mediation commission ”she declared.

In addition, the MP said that she had informed LREM of her proposed candidacy in November. “We exclude a person, in this case a deputy without giving him the opportunity to discuss his motivations. It’s as if you condemn someone without bringing them to justice, ”she said.
