Lower Franconia’s district president has to go to court for insult – Bavaria

Lower Franconia’s District President, Erwin Dotzel, will have to answer for insults before the District Court of Obernburg. A court spokeswoman said on Wednesday that he had lodged an objection to a penalty order. So there will be a main hearing against him.

The Aschaffenburg public prosecutor’s office accuses Dotzel of having called a party friend a “right louse” in a group chat of the CSU local branch in Wörth am Main. Therefore, the authority had applied to the district court for the issuance of a penalty order for insult and the imposition of a fine – the court complied. Dotzel should therefore pay 20 daily rates of 160 euros each. He appealed against this. Now he has to appear in court in person. A date for the trial has not yet been set. The incident is said to have happened on September 9 last year. Dotzel has not yet wanted to comment on the allegation. He has been District President since 2007.
