They were THE Berlin glamor couple, because such connections between politics and show business are rare in Germany.
But now it’s all over! Separation in the seven year itch! Ex-Foreign Minister Heiko Maas (56, SPD) and actress Natalia Wörner (55, including “Tatort”) have split up.
“We decided a long time ago to go our separate ways in the future,” said Maas and Wörner through their lawyer on Wednesday. “We will remain friends and wish each other the best for the future.”

Wörner and Maas (then Minister of Justice) first appeared publicly as a couple in spring 2016. Both have children from previous relationships.
In the same year, the politician was voted the best-dressed man in Germany by the men’s magazine “GQ”.
After the 2021 federal election, Maas left the cabinet as a minister, initially remaining a simple member of the Bundestag before he gave up this office as well. Today he works as a lawyer.
So far, the couple has not wanted to make any further statements about the separation to “protect our privacy”.
