In the 500th lottery drawing on Friday, almost 700,000 euros each went to Berlin, Italy and Hungary in addition to winning millions.
The euro jackpot in the amount of around 33 million euros goes to Lower Saxony. As the regional lottery company announced on Saturday, a player who had submitted the ticket in the Hanover region won.
The identity of the lucky guy is not yet known, said a spokeswoman for Toto-Lotto Lower Saxony. The ticket for the Eurojackpot was therefore given together with participation in the additional Super 6 and Spiel 77 lotteries. The stake was 28.35 euros. It was initially unknown when the ticket was submitted.
With the winning numbers 2, 6, 8, 21, 25 and the euro numbers 6 and 9, he or she achieved 33 234 495.10 euros in the drawing on Friday. Instead of the usual five numbers at the Eurojackpot, the lucky guy typed six numbers, from which all arithmetically possible five-way combinations were automatically formed, announced the lottery company. He was the only one in Europe to hit the winning numbers including the euro numbers and thus achieved the profit in prize class 1.
The chance of cracking the highest class at the Eurojackpot is around 1 in 95 million.
