Big scare for this German couple. Their 10-year-old child escaped their vigilance on Sunday on the beach of Barcarès, a town in the Pyrénées-Orientales, located about 25 kilometers from Perpignan. Fearing the worst, they alerted the rescuers who immediately set up the disturbing disappearance device.
Gendarmes and rescuers launched the search at sea, on the beach and on the nearby road. He was finally found an hour and a half later on the beach at Torreilles, after having walked more than 3 km. He suffered from the onset of sunstroke but was safe and sound. He was taken care of by the firefighters before being brought back to his loved ones.
