In the current RTL/ntv trend barometer, a sometimes drastic loss of confidence in all political institutions can be seen. At the turn of the year 2022/23, the Chancellor and the government in the Ukraine war and the energy crisis fell dramatically by around 20 to 25 percentage points. For comparison: With Angela Merkel and Corona at the turn of the year 2020/21 there was an increase in trust in the Chancellor and the government of around 25 to 30 percentage points. Political parties enjoy the least trust. Just 17% still trust the parties, in the East it is only 11%.
