The pandemic is not over yet. Above all, little is known about the long-term consequences for the health of those suffering from Covid-19, at least compared to other diseases: Long Covid is an unknown quantity. This poses a problem for private health insurers (PKV): How should they deal with potential customers who have contracted Corona? Finally, the companies assess their new customers according to the individual risk based on experience. But these experiences do not yet exist with Covid-19. If the insurers are too rigid, they lose new customers to the competition. If they are not strict enough, they may end up with high expenses in the long term.
