The Lollapalooza will take place in Berlin on September 24th and 25th. Fans without tickets can also stream the festival on numerous platforms.
Top acts such as Seeed, AnnenMayKantereit, Machine Gun Kelly or Die Fantastischen Vier will be honored in the capital: on September 24th and 25th, 2022, this year’s Lollapalooza Berlin will take place in the Berlin Olympic Stadium and in the Olympic Park. If you don’t have a ticket for the festival, you can still be there: Telekom announced that it would be showing a festival show of live performances and exclusive content via MagentaTV or in the free live stream on MagentaMusik, as well as on Facebook and Twitter.
For the first time, the festival can also be seen as a live stream on the TikTok video platform in the 9:16 format that is customary there. Creators Younes Zarou (24) and Nonakanal will host the show, which will be streamed live on the @magentamusic channel. “We bring the Lollapalooza Berlin phenomenon to the fans on all channels,” said Christian Loefert from Telekom Germany. In this way, all music enthusiasts could be up close and personal on the screen.
The Lollapalooza: Much more than just a music festival
The Lollapalooza is taking place in Berlin for the sixth time. In addition to national and international music stars, the festival also offers interactive worlds of experience such as “Der Grüne Kiez” as a sustainability area. In addition, new trends will be presented at “Fashionpalooza” and festival outfits will be perfected. Also characteristic of the Lollapalooza is a Ferris wheel, plenty of space for artistic performances of all kinds and a special area for children, the “Kidzapalooza”.
Lollapalooza is a global festival series that first took place in 1991 in the USA and Canada. In 2011, the company expanded for the first time outside of the two founding countries, at that time to Chile. Since 2015, the festival has also been held regularly in Berlin, initially at Tempelhofer Feld. In January 2023, Lollapalooza will be a guest in Mumbai, India for the first time.
