“Lola” in the cinema: A future without David Bowie is possible, but pointless – culture

If Christopher Nolan had made the film, it certainly wouldn’t be as funny: the sci-fi mockumentary “Lola” about a machine that receives radio messages from the future.

The radio report comes as redeeming news: all of the German fighter planes were intercepted, so the secret weapon actually works! The two sisters Thomasina and Martha Hanbury, Thom and Mars for short, are visibly relaxed. They themselves never doubted their invention, but the British secret service finally believes them too. While still on the phone, Thom is promoted: “Major Thom,” the two sisters have to smile.
