It cannot be said that Lohr had the very best reputation in the past. The most famous daughter in town may be Snow White from the fairy tales of the Brothers Grimm. However, in linguistically correct times, the statement that someone belongs to Lohr did not mean that one wanted him to be in the company of the fairy tale princess. What was meant was as much as: The one or even that was a case for the institution. The psychiatric one that is located here and used to be referred to simply as “the fool’s house”. The surrounding forests are still deep today and have long been considered hiding places for the notorious Spessart robbers.
