Locus Solus showcase project at Munich’s Marienplatz – Munich

“Locus Solus” is the name of the temporary interim use of shop windows on Marienplatz opposite the entrance to Galeria Kaufhof, which began in December. It is an art project by the Munich Art Initiative, which has previously ensured greater visibility for artists elsewhere in the city center. Only one work is presented at a time. Previous guests have been Michael Hofstetter, Pavel Zelehovsky, Herbert Nauderer and Burkard Blümlein. Next up will be “Detour” by Milena Dopitová. The installation refers to the computer game “Minecraft” and is intended to point out the unlimited movement possibilities of the players. As part of “Locus Solus,” other showcase projects that will be shown include works by Robert Barta (Jan. 18 to 23) and Carolina Kreusch (Jan. 25 to 30).
