But this trend does not apply to all metropolises. According to forecasts, Berlin, Hamburg and Vienna will continue to grow, as will Munich. The predictions for 2040 vary between 1.59 and 1.81 million residents. Finding an apartment in one of these cities was, is and remains difficult. The Munich artist Ana Saraiva and her partner Tronje Thole van Ellen are trying with maximum flexibility to find a new home for themselves and their five-month-old daughter.
